Are you keeping the Ten Commandments? Most of us think we are. But are we really?
The Ten Commandments are not old and outdated. They are still very relevent for today. The Creator who gave them to us knows us well, inside and out. He knows what will help us live the best possible life on this earth. How different would our society be if we all followed the big TEN?
Using a gentle, non-judgmental, encouraging approach, this private journal takes the commandments piece by piece and applies them to our personal lives, helping us examine our thoughts and actions and words to see how we line up. We are encouraged to date our entries and come back later to record how we are progressing. For some of the items, there are extra pages for keeping track of how we are doing.
So, dig deep, be honest with yourself, and see if you can actually follow the original TEN COMMANDMENTS. It will help clear away any hinderances in your relationship with the LORD. It will increase your sense of awe of Him and His ways. One section will deepen your understanding of how much He loves you.
The book begins our self examination by studying and applying this verse phrase by phrase:
And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
Mark 12:30
The second section begins with this verse:
And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
There is none other commandment greater than these.
Mark 12:31
