Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2003 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Erwachsenenbildung, Note: 1,0, Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf (Erziehungswissenschaftliches Institut), Veranstaltung: Einführung in die Erwachsenenbildung, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Teilnehmerforschung stellt einen sehr wichtigen, wenn nicht sogar den wichtigsten Anteil an der Erwachsenenbildungsforschung dar. Die Teilnehmerforschung in der Erwachsenenbildung beinhaltet nun verschiedene Aspekte. Man kann sowohl über die Teilnehmerzahlen forschen, als auch über die Motive und die Motivation von Personen, die sie überhaupt zur Teilnahme an Weiterbildungsveranstaltungen bewegen. Es ist ebenfalls möglich, die Teilnehmer selbst genauer zu untersuchen, beispielsweise ihren Lebenswandel, ihre Herkunft, kurz, die sozialen Milieus, aus denen sie stammen. Diese Fakten lassen sich dann in Bezug zur Weiterbildungsteilnahme setzen. Die TeilnehmerInnenforschung ist im wesentlichen biographietheoretisch orientiert, später dann auch teilweise milieutheoretisch Zur Teilnehmerforschung gibt es bislang schon einige Studien, darunter die GÖTTINGER STUDIE und die HILDESHEIMER STUDIE, die ich im Rahmen dieser Arbeit vorstellen möchte. Zunächst werde ich aber auf die Weiterbildungsteilnahme allgemein eingehen, um einen groben Überblick darüber zu geben, wie viele Leute sich überhaupt in Deutschland weiterbilden, wo sie dies bevorzugt tun und in welchem Bereich. Danach werde ich mich mit den beiden wichtigsten Studien im Bereich der Teilnehmerforschung befassen, den von ihnen aufgeworfenen Bildungsbegriff klären und ihre Ergebnisse vorstellen. Weiter behandle ich zwei Aspekte, die in der Teilnehmerforschung eine große Rolle spielen: Die Motivations- und die Milieuforschung. Am Ende dieser Arbeit sollte deutlich sein, was Teilnehmerforschung beinhaltet und warum sie einen so hohen Stellenwert hat. Gleichzeitig möchte ich einen Überblick über die Motivation und Motive geben. Warum bilden sich Menschen eigentlich weiter
