About the Book

Zena Hawkins, granddaughter of Cordelia and Kevin Newkirk, has been brought up at Bridgewater where her life has been somewhat mundane - few friends but many societal strictures. Like other girls her age she has crushes on movie stars and dreams of being 'discovered' by Hollywood. Zena's dreams come true when an old family friend and Hollywood producer invites the twenty-year-old to come to Hollywood and fill a small role in his latest production. What follows is pure Hollywood magic! As Zena soars to on-screen heights her private life is anything so meteoric. Life altering events cause Zena to shoulder responsibility she isn't ready for while she deals with a broken heart. More than anything Zena wants to find her true love. Little does she know he waits for her in an orchard. Or so she believes. Happiness is in her future. But we all know the road to happiness is filled with bumps and unexpected turns. Through it all Zena comes to depend on the quiet wisdom of a blue plush bear called Teddy Blue. Through good times and bad, he is there with her. This is his story as well as Zena's. Will Zena find her happiness and true love? Will she follow her mother's glamorous life, continue the Newkirk dynasty, or opt for the simple life? The answers are here, in Book 3 of The Bridgewater Chronicles.
About the Author: Marion was born in Derby, Connecticut, an area rich in local history. Marion loves to read and reviews almost everything she reads. You can find her reviews on her blog - Marion's Bookshelf - as well as on Amazon.com, Goodreads, Library Thing, and BookLikes. As a new author she was grateful when several reviewers considered her first book as review-worthy. She now pays it forward by reviewing first-time authors whenever she can. As a Connecticut native daughter, Marion has lived in the Housatonic Valley (Shelton and Derby), The Fair Haven area of New Haven, Wallingford, and Meriden. She and her husband currently reside in Central Florida. Their three cats provide plenty of company and excitement. Marion is currently a member of the Emerald Coast Writers Group. Her debut novel, 201 ATWATER, is the first in a series that reflects the history and occupants of seemingly common places. The second, HONEYSUCKLE HILL, is set in her hometown of Shelton. Both have met with high praise from readers and reviewers alike. A third novel, OAK CLIFF, is set in the neighboring town of Derby, CT. STAIRWAY TO MY HEART, is the first book of her latest series, The Bridgewater Chronicles; this will be a family saga spanning five generations (from 1890 through the present). TEDDY BLUE is book three of The Bridgewater Chronicles. Through her writing Marion hopes to instill in her readers a desire to learn more about the history of where they live and/or were born while reliving the romance of times gone by. She has been an invited speaker to local middle schools (Florida) during Literacy Week.
