Twelve men and women teachers who devoted their lives to helping students learn and grow contributed to this unique book.
Teacher Talk: A Story Collection is a collection of insightful anecdotes. Z. Proudlock spent over thirty-five years as an educator. She surveyed colleagues about their experiences, collecting advice and insights for teachers as well as tales that illustrate the good, and bad days of working as an educator.
Teachers in need of practical guidance will find strategies for dealing with difficult students and ideas for retirement. There are also helpful survival tips for neophyte educators and suggestions on avoiding career pitfalls.
Those looking for inspiration or laughs will enjoy the vignettes on topics such as regrets, greatest (and worst) days in teaching, and charming or memorable students. The contributors also share their stories about how they decided to become teachers as well as how they determined it was time to leave the profession. The book includes prompts and blank pages to help you journal personal stories as you make your own classroom memories.
Wherever you are on your career path, Teacher Talk is sure to enlighten and entertain you.
