About the Author: As a believer in Jesus Christ, since the age of twelve, two main passions have marked my life: 1) Serving Jesus Christ by proclaiming Him as Saviour and Lord and 2) Counselling those in emotional distress. (Both passions were born out of my own need for a Saviour and my own un-renewed mind and emotional distress!) In terms of worldly credentials I am qualified as a social worker and also maintain a private practice as such. However, the only real qualification is endowed on me by the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:4-6) I served in the South African National Defence Force (2 years), served with Operation Mobilization, as a full-time missionary (approximately 3 years), I served as the Program-Coordinator of an Christian inn-patient chemical rehabilitation centre (5 years). Since then I have been employed by Wellspring Ministries to train (professionals and non-professionals alike) in biblically sound, Spirit empowered, prayer facilitation principles used by the Lord to set the captives free. Why did I take the time to write these books? I give the following testimony: Like Moses going about his normal duties I was simply ministering to someone who asked me to pray for her as she contemplates returning to journalism? (She left the profession many years ago). As I prayed for her, in a vision I saw the Lord standing next to me, putting his hand on mine, He said: "Francois, I will teach you to write." The next day I was in another city, in a different country, when someone prophesied over me telling me the Lord wants me to write a book. So there you have it, my writing emanated from simple obedience to a word I received from the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ.
