About The Author
Karan Razdan has been practising Buddhism for ten years. He has read Osho extensively. He has also been inspired by the writings of Maharishi Ramanna and Swami Vivekananda.
An alumnus of the National School of Drama, his creative journey in the film and television industry began with 'Rajni', the fiery television show which he co-scripted with Mr. Basu Chatterjee. After Rajni's success, he wrote numerous television shows and movies.
He has written the scripts of movies like 'Dilwale', 'Diljale', 'Dushmani', 'Deewane', 'Qayamat', 'Laxman Rekha' and many
other films.
When it came to directing television shows he wrote, produced and directed the popular detective show, 'Tehkikaat', starring the ace director Mr. Vijay Anand (who plays the main detective, Sam Dsilva).
“It was baptism by fire directing the ace director in my first venture.” he says.
He wrote and directed a real but controversial movie, 'Girlfriend'. Later he went on to direct movies which had sensitive subjects, like 'Umar' (a film concerning the loneliness of Indians settled abroad) and 'Mittal vs Mittal' (which was based on the laws governing marital rape and discussed the 'Domestic violence act 2005').
His latest film 'Mr. Bhatti on Chutti' has good friend Anupam Kher playing the title role and Mr. Amitabh Bachchan in a unique special appearance. The movie is shot in the picturesque Lake district, U.K.
This is his first book and is dedicated 'to Shiva, the ultimate Lord and Master of 'Tantra'.
