Tan largo me lo fiáis es una obra teatral que introduce al mundo literario el mito de Don Juan Tenorio, un personaje que posteriormente se convertiría en uno de los más universales del teatro español. La obra se representó por primera vez en Córdoba en 1617 por la compañía de Jerónimo Sánchez, y desde entonces ha suscitado numerosos debates académicos sobre su autoría y su relación con otra obra emblemática, El burlador de Sevilla.

Lo primero que destaca en Tan largo me lo fiáis es la complejidad moral y psicológica del personaje de Don Juan Tenorio. Desde su primera aparición en la obra, su carácter seductor y manipulador queda patente. La manera en que engaña a Isabela, haciéndole creer que es su futuro esposo, el Duque Octavio, revela una astucia y una falta de escrúpulos que definen su personalidad a lo largo de la obra.

La problemática en torno a la autoría de Tan largo me lo fiáis y "El burlador de Sevilla" ha sido uno de los temas más debatidos en la literatura del Siglo de Oro español.
