About the Author: Yonatan Friis (f. 1986) er født og opvokset på Vestsjælland, men har i de seneste år været bosiddende i hovedstaden, hvor han har en bacheloruddannelse i Japanstudier og læst videre på kandidatuddannelsen i Tværkulturelle studier på Københavns Universitet. Hans interesse for Japan har været inspiration til hans første roman, Takahiro og Sjælelighedens Bjerg, hvor han tager udgangspunkt i den vestlige ide om identitet, men placerer denne i en kultur, hvor tanken om åndelighed hersker, hvorved der forsøges at skabe en forbindelse mellem disse to så oftest adskilte koncepter.
