About the Book

A Tale of Sweetbriars. A 'feel good', coming of age series, for horse-mad girls, teens and those 'young at heart'. The Sweetbriars books have been called a 'Must Read' by Horse & Hound and 'included several times in the Pony Magazine's best horse book recommendations.

Finding Violet, won the International Young Adult Winnie Award at the 2020 EQUUS Film Festival.

Welcome to the yard! Come and meet the girls... Cate, Tabby and Violet.

The third book follows Violet. Violet's life is torn apart when she stumbles on a family secret. Desperate to learn more, she convinces Tabby to help with her investigations and also to dig into her own troubled past. However, Violet's quest for the truth takes its toll not only on her but on her friendship with Tabby.

Spot, her beloved showjumper becomes her guiding light, keeping her spirits high, and taking care of her when she needs it the most.

Will Violet be able to keep it together and find the answers she so desperately seeks?

This book can be read stand-alone in the series, or you can begin with the first book - Leaving The City.

Some Reviews:
Award-winning Children's Author Sherry Ellis. In this third book of the Sweetbriars series, Violet discovers she's adopted. This news coupled with her dad's loss of a job, turns her world upside down and leads to her having an eating disorder. Violet must work through her problems. She does so with the help of her friends and her beloved horse, Spot. Finding Violet is a coming-of-age story that will resonate well with young teenage girls who love horses. It is well-written with many compelling subplots that will keep the reader turning pages until the end.

Children's Author Deanie Humphreys-Dunne. Hollie Anne Marsh has done it again! She's penned a wonderful, suspenseful story that will certainly appeal to young readers. In the third of her Sweetbriar series, "Finding Violet," readers will meet a young equestrian named Violet, who accidentally discovers she's adopted. Understandably, this knowledge upends her life. Violet loves her adoptive parents but she realizes several stressful events are affecting their lives and she doesn't want to add to the family's distress. But hiding her problem from her parents is affecting her health because Violet barely eats and her parents do not know the reason why. As in any fantastic book, the main character changes as the story develops. I know readers and horse-lovers and others will be enchanted and enlightened by this book. Does Violet succeed in competitions? Any horse lover will be completely enthralled from cover to cover. It has my highest recommendation.

Amazon Reviewer. This book tackles several very sensitive issues (especially to young women and their families) with skill, delicacy and expertise that gives me a new-found respect for Ms. Marsh. I really enjoyed the book! A few quick thoughts: This is a story set around Sweetbriars and friends Violet, Tabby and Cate... Violet discovered a family secret, but suffered in silence because she did not know who to turn to. She cannot find an appropriate time to talk about her discovery with her parents, Tabby agrees to try to help Violet find the truth... Violet soon learns the value of true friendship and family love."
