Vor diesem Hintergrund sind vorausschauende unternehmerische Reaktionsfähigkeiten unabdingbar, um sowohl im wirtschaftlichen Sinne als auch im Rahmen von zeitgemäßen Interaktionen handlungsfähig bleiben zu können. In diesem Zusammenhang erfordert die effektive Integration der Nachhaltigkeit innerhalb der Unternehmensprozesse Maßnahmen, die organisatorische Grenzen überschreiten und besondere Entwicklungen im Rahmen des Lieferkettenmanagements postulieren. Anhand wissenschaftlicher Forschungsartikel wird das gestiegene Interesse von Unternehmen und Wissenschaft an einem nachhaltigen Supply Chain Management (SCM) ersichtlich.
