El proyecto fotográfico al he titulado Francisco de Goya, pintor. LOS SUEÑOS DE LA RAZÓN, está inspirado precisamente en el significado del mismo título de la exposición, esto es: una mirada particular y a la vez tributaria a la obra de Don Francisco de Goya y Lucientes. En este proyecto desarrollo la parte onírica de la obra de Goya, atendiendo a la interpretación de algunas de su obra Los Caprichos. La obra en sí misma, trata de interpretar sus grabados y llevarlos a mi propia interpretación. Apropiándome, a veces, de parte de ellas para enfatizar más el tributo hacia el maestro; otras desarrollándolas a mi propio entendimiento. No obstante, si he tenido claro mi admiración y respeto por el maestro Goya, que sin ser grabados las muestras, intento sobremanera darle la apariencia, sin dejar de ser fotografías. Por mi parte intento, en toda la obra fotográfica, atreverme con los temas que Goya nos señaló en su obra, los cuales me parecen, en su mayoría actuales y, por consiguiente, socialmente atrayentes, a veces reivindicativos, a veces sólo a modo descriptivo. Mi intención sólo pretende ver el mundo goyesco como un actor social más, representante de la sociedad civil en la época que nos ha tocado vivir y en la que pretendemos participar activamente porque es lo que creemos necesario. Se puede mirar a la sociedad actual desde un prisma diferente y comparar para poder entender qué es lo que desprende de las crónicas goyescas hoy. Adentrarse en el estudio del comportamiento de la sociedad española del XVII y comprenderla desde el pensamiento actual. Francisco de Goya, pintor. LOS SUEÑOS DE LA RAZÓN es una interpretación fotográfica exagerada y en parte surrealista de cómo percibo lo que Goya nos legó de la España que le rodeaba. Comportamientos que, pensados fríamente, no se escapan mucho de la España de hoy, salvando las distancias. Cada fotografía corresponde a un grabado en particular, dónde actores representan el papel de cada modelo goyesco, bajo mi mirada crítica. A lo mejor no se corresponde con la realidad porque todo es teatro. Ha llegado el momento en mi devenir fotográfico en el que siento la necesidad de expresar mis inquietudes sociales y mi forma particular de mirar el comportamiento social. Para ello no es posible, bajo mi mirada, echar mano de lo que el mundo nos ofrece, que realmente no es poco, sino de crear, recrear, nuestros propios pensamientos y eso es lo posible en estudio fotográfico. Lugar en que puedo ser yo mismos y compartir mis ideas con mis colaboradores. Mis trabajos están impregnados de un carácter filosófico ontológico, antropológico y artístico. Pues, el hombre, su identidad y la sociedad en la que se desarrolla, son a los que verdaderamente dirijo mis pensamientos. Intento con ello, simplemente, crear una metafísica simbólica en la cual, independientemente de la obra de Goya, de la interpretación ingenua de los actores, huir del discurso fácil. Con Francisco de Goya, LOS SUEÑOS DE LA RAZÓN propongo un ejercicio de reflexión social que nos lleve a comprender hasta dónde estamos dispuestos a llegar para parecer estar dentro de los perfiles sociales que nos "obligan" a interpretar.
