About the Book

From Ed Bemand, author of Sinful Submissions and Beheld, Succumbing is a new anthology of dark tales of desire. Originally written within NaNoWriMo 2011, this book revisits stories from Sinful Submissions and introduces many new characters, as our narrator ponders the nature of lust and passion and the price people pay when they give in to their desires.

Stories include:
Why Antoine stopped using paint
How Lucille became a woman and lost a friend
When Hannah wanted what Jen couldn't give her
What love did to Lewis

Warning. This book contains explicit sexual content and disturbing scenes. It also includes more than twenty nude drawings and original translations of two of Catullus' best known erotic poems.

About the Author: Writer of obscenity, dabbling artist, dilettante esotericist and eternal seeker of the Lost Cave of Naar, Ed Bemand was born and raised in Guildford. At 18 he fled to Lampeter and for three years was loosely associated with the archaeology department of the university there. After that he was subjected to stern lectures about the value of hard work and the necessity of making money. Unable to find a way to earn an honest living, his lack of useful skills or qualifications led him to work in sales. During the next few years he sold such diversities as IT equipment, insurance, double-glazing and ID cards. His first novel Beheld was published in 2006 but it failed to make him either successful or wealthy, so wage-slavery continued. After a decade of gainful employment he was only too happy to cast aside the shackles of respectability in favour of creative semi-employment. His latest work is an anthology series about sex and passion. The first part, Sinful Submissions was published in 2012. Its follow-up Succumbing was released in 2014. For the last few years he has lived in Cardiff with a girl and a dog. His hobbies include loud noises, simulated violence, aimless wandering and morbid introspection.
