About the Book

After enduring several years of an abusive and lonely marriage, Meadow Roberts, a recently divorced Mother of two, finds herself and her kids all alone. Faced with a dilemma to find a new place to live in a new area with just her and her kids. She relies on family and friends to get her through the obstacles that life has to offer. She embarks on a journey of a new found independence and a new quest for love.
About the Author: I was born in Durham, NC and proudly grew up in the small town of Morrisville, NC. Also known as "Moville" or the "M.O.V." It was my Grandparents land but we lived on it too. My Grandpa had a hog farm and it became a big part of our everyday life. My cousins and myself spent hours working and playing in and around the hog farm, we learned a lot of life lessons because of it. I am sure we all still use a lot of those lessons today. I did not get a car when I was 16 so I rode my bike almost everywhere I wanted to go, whether on the road or through the woods. One of my favorite things to do growing up was to scavenge the local dump for bicycles and to play basketball. I attended elementary through high school in Cary, NC then went on to attend a local Community College for Architectural Technology. I eventually got a job working for one of the top homebuilders in the country. This is where I grew as a person, learned a lot about how to deal with people, life, and how to run a business. I had a 12-year career in the field of Architecture before being laid off due to the housing market crash of 2008. I loved Architecture, but it was not my first love. I decided to go in a new direction and to focus on Graphic Design. I ended up enrolling in DeVry University and received a degree in Web Graphic Design. My dream was to start my own business. In 2012 I founded Hollow Visions. Hollow Visions was built on the foundation of hard work, determination, perseverance, a deep belief in myself, not being afraid to fail, and a deep passion to succeed. All of these things I learned from my Parents and Grandparents. I apply those values and beliefs into my life and Hollow Visions every day. Growing up, I never wanted to be a writer and never thought about it at all. I always made good grades in English and my teachers and instructors all told me that I was a good writer, especially my high school teacher Carrie Brock. I will never forget her. Later in life, me and a friend were writing out an achievement list, and one of the things on my list was to write a book. My friend encouraged me to write this type of book and even though it took a while to complete, I did it. I actually love to write now and for me it is a form of expression that allows my imagination to run wild, come with me on my journeys through my books. There will be more to come. Stay tuned.
