About the Book
Chemical dependency and its denial aspects are the heart and soul of one of, if not the greatest, horrific problems in our society, yesterday, today and probably many tomorrows to come!
How do we deal with it? Well, the most popular world known strategies would be through the following:
1.AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) 2.NA (Narcotics Anonymous) 3.And even GA (Gambling Anonymous)
The disease is incurable but arrestable using the aforementioned twelve-step programs.
Well, guess what? After entering an advanced substance drug rehab program in the fall of 1985, I began to slowly realize and learn a better way (especially from a neurological standpoint) to get back on track (so to speak) and even formulated a Super 7-Step Program that works even better! I got it copyrighted through Washington, DC, and you really do need to read it and take it to heart. I won't say all, but most MDs don't even know this!
Hey! What's up?
I, Robert E. Bunyard, MS, was also known as Cowboy Bob-tour guide at the Grand Canyon in Northern Arizona for fifteen years!
Being a baby boomer after World War II, I was fortunate enough to be a Psychologist in the US Army with only a BA degree! During the Vietnam era, the biggest test in life (then and now) was notifying next of kin, that their son or husband would be back in a box. God help us. After this two-year stint in the US Army, I got an MS in counseling at University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and spent the next twelve years as (1) a prison counselor, (2) a high school guidance counselor, and (3) licensed drug abuse counselor.
After a two-and-a-half-year marriage, I was a professional rodeo cowboy for six years, ending up in a drug rehab facility (nine weeks). Then I was a highly decorated coach driver in San Antonio, Texas, for the next decade.
Three songs and one Bible Scripture have continued to assist me in dealing with this God-given life and chemistry dependency (Satan's right arm). They are "Mama Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys," "Why Me, Lord?" and "How Great Thou Art." Plus, the Bible verses Proverbs 3:5-6. Memorize the latter, and may God bless you!
