Les principaux objectifs de cette thèse étaient d'explorer l'impact des styles de leadership à large spectre et de la performance des employés concernant l'engagement organisationnel en tant que variable médiatrice. Plus précisément, l'étude visait à apprécier les styles de leadership tels qu'ils s'appliquent dans les entreprises publiques et comment ils affectent la performance des employés. En outre, elle cherchait à déterminer si l'engagement des employés sert de médiateur à la relation entre les constructions de leadership à large spectre et la performance des employés dans les entreprises publiques au Ghana. Ces objectifs sont fondés sur le fait que les entreprises publiques jouent un rôle important dans le développement du secteur public dans chaque économie. L'État investit dans ces entreprises, ce qui dépasse la capacité des investisseurs privés à bénéficier à ses citoyens. Il n'est donc pas surprenant qu'il y ait une pression accrue sur un leadership efficace parmi les dirigeants des entreprises publiques au Ghana. Cela indique que le style de leadership a un impact sur la performance des employés, il devrait donc avoir une position plus large à occuper dans la gestion des entreprises publiques (EP).
