About the Book

What others are saying about "Study Abroad: The Book of Jobe" 5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious and Entertaining By MMM I Found my self constantly laughing out loud!!.. Great book, this one really was a hard one to put down. I have been oversees several times, however, after reading this book it makes me really want to go back and have the same experiences and see some of the same places as Jobe. In this book he really sets out on his own adventures and really leaves no stone unturned. Great Book!.. Must Read!! 5.0 out of 5 stars By Joshua - Can't wait to study abroad! Studying abroad is something I have been going back and forth on for my college experience. So I purchased this book after a friend recommended it. Between work and school, I don't have a lot of leisure time, but I'm so glad I took the time to read this. Study Abroad is informative as well as fun to read. I literally laughed out loud reading this book. After reading Jobe's study abroad adventures, I am certain I should study abroad next year! 5.0 out of 5 stars, By LJL Hilarious! I recently got my book in the mail and decided to read a few pages before going to bed...As soon as I opened it and started reading I was already laughing out loud, as I did through most of the book. I found myself reading over half the book and didn't even realize it was 1 a.m. Maybe I felt like I needed to keep up with Jobe as I was reading of all his activities and late nights, but I could not put it down. I enjoyed reading of all the places visited in such a short amount of time. I've traveled a bit as well, but nothing to the extent of this book and it was very impressive to me all the ground that was covered. Definitely a great read for those looking to do programs abroad and just travel in general. I know I would not have been able to navigate my way around like he did, especially in a foreign place for the first time...Cheers to you Jobe! 5.0 out of 5 stars By Amy Miller EXCELLENT BOOK- GREAT READ!!! Many heartfelt stories we can all relate to. I honestly laughed out loud countless times at some of the situations the author got himself into. I would highly recommend this for anyone thinking of doing a study abroad or more importantly anyone that would like a good laugh and a good read. "Study Abroad: The Book of Jobe" as reviewed by Amazon readers.
About the Author: Somewhere along the line the critics labeled "Study Abroad: The Book of Jobe" entertaining and a "Must Read". Universities across the country have begun requiring all students who wish to apply for a study abroad program to pick up this book. Although I do not think my work should be the only resource, I do know the anxiety and feelings that capture us before traveling overseas. I do understand the nervousness and the thrills of traversing a land where 1 out of every 1,000,000 people speak your language. When is the last day that you did not say a single word? I effectively capture this feeling in each page of my book as the world took place around me using a different set of vocabulary, customs, and social norms. I studied business in school, and I am not a writer or an English major. If you are expecting a book that has been revised and red lined by your stuffy purple haired 11th grade English teacher, then move on. My book "Study Abroad: The Book of Jobe" is unedited and full of raw emotions. What my writing does contain is a propensity for the brutal honesties of life on the road, and making the reader stress and strain with every difficult moment. Then each follower is offered ten times more opportunities to laugh and smile with each redeeming humorous moment. I can guarantee this book will strike a chord with the trekker inside each of us. Those who have not explored will find themselves glued to the pages wishing they had. Readers who have journeyed the world will draw similarities with my heartfelt words and thoughts. I have received calls and e-mails from readers of all experience levels speaking of the inspiration they have found from within, and wanting to be along side me on my next excursion. So what are you waiting for? Pick up a copy of "Study Abroad: The Book of Jobe." Then e-mail me at JobeLeonard@gmail.com with questions about the book, and invite me along for your next expedition. My passport is ready. I currently live in Dandridge, Tennessee where I am a lumberjack with Hearthstone Homes. I spend the daylight hours living off the land making maple syrup, handmade rocking chairs, and log homes. On a weekend you might find me running, surfing, unicorn farming, picking the banjo, and biking. I also serve as the current CEO of rapidly the expanding Internet startup company LakeFun.com
