Sava has lived sixty-nine years, and the world expects him to act his age. But he isn't sixty-nine. He's twenty.
A brilliant surgeon, Sava is passionate about helping his patients heal and prevent their conditions through hypnotic age regression. This deconditions them from the traditional perception of age. And it works.
But Sava doesn't understand himself. He's comfortable with young people and feels out of place, foreign, and plastic around anyone older. Pursuing art, music, poetry, and film helps him manage his emotional symptoms, but none of these things bring clarity or solutions to his despair.
One of his patients notices this and tells Sava about a twenty-four-year-old medical student named Natalie who is already living a similar experience. During his first conversation with her, a hopeful flicker of light shines through Sava's sadness and confusion.
Sava's story is a unique and compelling exploration into the psychology of age, the connection between mind and body, the different forms of love and romance, and the power that each of these harbors. It is a tale that challenges common thought and social norms surrounding medicine, age-related behavior, and relationships-inspiring readers to think for themselves, rather than follow the crowd.
