Examensarbeit aus dem Jahr 2009 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Heilpädagogik, Sonderpädagogik, Universität zu Köln, Veranstaltung: Lehrstuhl für Allgemeine Heilpädagogik, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die vorliegende Arbeit will die Strukturen der Bildung und Förderung von Kindern mit sonderpädagogischem Förderbedarf in der Schweiz näher beleuchten. Da die Schweiz im europäischen Raum einen gewissen Sonderstatus innehat und sich zudem das Land in Bezug auf (sonderpädagogische) Bildung und Förderung in einem grundlegenden Wandel befindet, entwickelte sich ein großes Interesse meinerseits, mich mit diesem Thema intensiver zu befassen. Die Schweiz ist ein vergleichsweise kleines Land, welches in seiner großen Vielfalt eine große Faszination (auf meine Person) ausstrahlt. Diese Arbeit möchte aufzeigen, wie sich die schweizerische Bildungs- und Förderungssituation von Kindern mit sonderpädagogischem Förderbedarf aktuell darstellt und anhand der Änderungsdynamik des vergangenen Jahrzehnts hervorheben, dass sich der Kleinstaat in einem starken Veränderungsprozess befindet. Kapitel 2 dient hauptsächlich einer Klärung der forschungsmethodischen Grundlage, welcher dieser Arbeit zugrunde liegt. Das Kapitel geht deshalb gezielt auf den Ansatz der internationalen Heil- und Sonderpädagogik nach Alois Buerli ein. Buerli gilt als federführend in diesem Bereich, nicht nur in der Schweiz selbst, vielmehr genießen seine Publikationen im gesamteuropäischen Raum hohes Ansehen. Kapitel 3 soll die Rahmenbedingungen der Sonderpädagogik in den Vordergrund rücken. Hierzu gibt die Arbeit grundlegende Informationen zur Schweiz und führt ausgewählte Kontextdimensionen aus, bevor nachfolgend das schweizerische Bildungswesen kurz dargestellt wird. Kapitel 4 stellt das Herzstück dieser Arbeit dar. Hier soll zunächst auf geschichtliche Aspekte eingegangen werden, daran schließt sich eine Betrachtung der rechtlichen Situation von Menschen mit Behinderungen in der Schweiz an.
