Stress has become part and parcel of human life. Its is an emotional, intellectual or physical response to an internal or external change, demand or pressue. The causes for its are many and multidimentional that includes environmental, physiological, social or personal thoughts, hassies, pressures, frustrations, conflicts, failures, sorrows, selfishness, greed, carving, hurt feelings, comparision, competitions, victimization and/or fear.Stress must be relieved to safeguard the personality of the human individuals through prayer, meditation, exercise, games, relaxation, sleeping, entertainment, humour, social service, joint family living, living with values, good communication, reading, writing, having realistic objectives, avoiding worrying, optimism, participating in cultural and spirtual programmes, creative thinking, critical thinking, positive attitude, life skills, self awareness, empathy, coping with emotions, compromising, mingling with friends and relatives, etc. About Author : Dr. T.D. Vimala, M.A., M.Phil., Ph.D. (Psychology), is the Head of the Department of Psychology, Government College for Women. She has published many research papers and presented papers in seminars. conferences, workshops, etc. She has authored Psychological, Statistics, and General Psychology. She is Chairperson, Board of Studies (UG and PG) in Psychology, Acharya Nagarjuna University. She is also Advisory Member, Velugu Project, Government of A.P.Dr. B. Prasad Babu, M.A., B.Ed., M.Phil., Ph.D., (Psychology), is a popular Educational Psychologist and Special Education Counsellor.
