A man dreams of parachuting from the moon, a piano and a violin engage in a melodic love affair, and the emotions of various Crayola crayons are explored.
These are just some of the topics you'll find in Strawberry Fields Forever, an intriguing anthology of short fiction in which human beings, the natural world, and inanimate objects entwine and are investigated for meaning-from the clouds in the sky, to a lovesick hummingbird, to anyone and everyone who has ever cared.
Simultaneously imaginative and relatable, John Mengatti's short story compilation explores the complicated, often humorous experiences that unite all creatures, whether human being, canine, or something else entirely.
With curiosity and wit, Mengatti infuses the everyday with wonder. The result is a unique collection of bite-sized tales, the perfect length for ingesting on a subway or bus ride before embarking on your busy day, while endlessly thought-provoking and memorable.
