About the Book
Chaos reigns as immense powerful forces collide with catastrophic consequences when the war between Dark and Light once more erupts. The worlds embroiled are Earth and Tarsier as the Clysm unfolds and the dreaded Reckoning draws ever near.Four Cosmic Warriors, Ionuin, Taj, Glitch and Spuddle, arrive on Earth via the stone circle portal. Their timing is unfortunate as, because of delays upon Deburon searching for Fyrdraca, Ionuin's enchanted sword, the winter solstice is already nigh when Catalin, The Light representative on Earth, expected them to arrive well before the eve of the summer solstice. Catalin is locked in battle with Nostrata, his opposite Dark number and the delayed arrival has forced the Light to enlist four new Chosen to fight, Stach, Olly, Oric and Jai. Catalin is already uncertain if even the newly united groups will be enough to turn the ebbing tide of war the Light are currently losing.Tarsier has its own issues, with the emperor Brunell furious at the events concerning his daughter, Glycerine, which took place on a comet high above Deburon. As an act of revenge, Cai, a new High Priestess for the Darkener Cult, is elected and sent forth to aid the destruction of the Light forces upon Earth, but all is not what it seems with those he has commanded to do his bidding. Amongst the Elite One Hundred, traitors are running riot and struggling to assert their own authority upon the mission and Cai becomes intimately involved with Ranar, a mysterious stranger who wishes to hold more than power. Also, aware that he has rebellion occurring beneath his very nose in Brule, the capital city, Brunell sets his own children against each other, Menoch, Quanta and his only surviving daughter, Lapeche. With their differences settled and betrayals revealed, the survivors, with the help of Freegan, their mother, embark upon a mission to unravel the intricacies of the Tarsier uprising and uncover the truth behind the all-powerful Numina known as Sireena. It soon becomes clear that the battles on Tarsier are intrinsically linked to the war on Earth where tragedy and triumph, death and resurrection, unfold as the conflict escalates, causing the stone circle portals to hum with power as beings and weapons leap back and forth. The Numina, Cai and Sireena, adopt merciless roles in their desperate struggle to urge combatants towards ultimate victory and they themselves struggle to avoid meeting in lethal combat that could see one of them perish. In this devastating theatre of war, not everyone will survive to face the final challenge, the nature of which begins unfolding in its entirety. Time loves a hero, but who lives and who dies is decided here, in Stone Sorcerers, the third installment of the Cosmic Warrior Quartet.
