The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young".In this work of personal development you will learn the need for a big attitude as you advance in years. Positive thinking will help pave the way for your future and you will discover motivational strategies that will help you keep a young mind. As you learn about developing the right mind set you will explore how to have new beginnings, take on fresh challenges, break new boundaries, have new experiences, develop new friendships, have successful relationships and awaken again some of the fearlessness of youth. You don't have to become old, so discover some of the solutions for having an ageless mind.
About the Author: Marji Hill is an Australian author who has published more than 60 books on the history and cultures of Aboriginal Australia. Most of these publications, which she co-authored with Alex Barlow, have been for children and young adults. Her major work of non-fiction "Six Australian Battlefields" (co-authored with Al Grassby) was published in 1988 by Angus & Robertson and then a decade later it was published again as a paperback by Allen & Unwin. The nine volume "The Macmillan Encyclopedia of Australia's Aboriginal Peoples" came out in 2000, and 2009 saw the publication of "The Apology: Saying Sorry to the Stolen Generations." "Staying Young Growing Old" is a departure from her books on Aboriginal Australia. For many years Marji has had a strong interest in personal development and the need for positive thinking in order to have a successful life. For many years, too, she has been keen to publish her own books so "Staying Young Growing Old" is the first of many which she will publish both in print form and as eBooks. Apart from being a writer Marji is a painter. Her large oil paintings explore the themes of black-white relations in Australia, Reconciliation, gold, history, and the Australian landscape. Her small works on paper are largely simple responses to the environment. Marji has had eight solo exhibitions in Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne. Apart from participating in many group shows one of her large oils was exhibited in the 2004-2005 Ballarat Fine Art Gallery's Travelling Exhibition "Eureka Revisited: the Contest of Memories." This was part of the 150 year's celebration of the Eureka Stockade. A couple of her commissioned paintings hang in public spaces in North Queensland. One is in the foyer of Jupiter's Casino in Townsville and the other hangs in the World Centre at Charters Towers. Marji is also represented in both public and private collections in Australia and overseas. She lives on Queensland's Gold Coast where she continues to write and to paint.
