About the Book

Vipal (Antonio Gianfranco Gualdi) nasce a Sanremo nel 1959. Già da bambino mostra interesse per l'espressione artistica e, per tale ragione, i genitori lo iscrivono a scuola di pianoforte. All'età di otto anni la famiglia si trasferisce a Giaveno. Qui interrompe gli studi musicali trascorrendo il resto dell'infanzia tra i verdi prati della cittadina di campagna. Frequenta le scuole salesiane dove l'insegnante di educazione artistica lo sprona a coltivare il suo talento. Per motivi pratici però consegue la maturità tecnica e decide di intraprendere l'attività di famiglia. Ventenne, dopo avere frequentato per tre anni composizione floreale presso l'accademia della Fedefiori di Torino con Carlo Pirollo, rileva il negozio di fiori della madre. Non soddisfatto studia fotografia e continua a coltivare il suo interesse per la musica e la scrittura. La vera svolta avviene quando, per riempire il vuoto insistente che sente, decide di dedicarsi alla meditazione attiva seguendo gli insegnamenti del maestro indiano Osho, da cui riceve il nome Swami Bodhi Vipal che in sanscrito significa "Momento Di Consapevolezza". Parallelamente sente il bisogno di approfondire i suoi studi artistici- filosofici frequentando vari stage e seminari di consapevolezza interiore e percorsi sciamanici. Presso il Centro Jazz di Torino: riprende i suoi studi sulla teoria e armonia musicali con Pino Russo, di canto con Giovanni Grimaldi e di pianoforte con Daniele Tione. Con Yuki Abragams studia pianoforte, percussioni e teatro danza partecipando alla scuola di formazione quinquennale "Corpo Creatività Consapevolezza Armonia". Alla età di trentacinque anni lascia la sua attività imprenditoriale per dedicarsi completamente al richiamo artistico spirituale. Entra a far parte della compagnia di teatro danza "I Gira Soli", sotto la regia di Yuki Abragams, portando in giro per l'Italia lo spettacolo "Direzione Primavera". Contemporaneamente si dedica alla musica e comincia a scrivere brevi racconti, poesie e testi di canzoni. Produce la musica per le meditazioni guidate e per il CD multimediale "La leggenda dei viventi" progettato per la scuola elementare. Uscito dai "Gira Soli" fonda insieme a Prisco Tortora la compagnia di teatro dell'anima "Con Le Ali Ai Piedi". Significativa è stata l'esperienza avuta nell'associazione "l'Appartenenza", dove oltre alla scuola di teatro dell'anima, ha tenuto corsi di danza spirituale, meditazione attiva, massaggio sciamanico e seminari esperienziali di consapevolezza. Nel 2008 ha creato un gruppo di teatro-danza e realizzato il concerto-spettacolo Squarci Poetici, con testi e musiche ispirate al libro di poesie "Squarci" che è stato rappresentato in varie città italiane. Dal 2012 Vipal vive e lavora presso il Centro Di Meditazione Zorba Il Buddha dove, come operatore olistico (professione subordinata alla legge 4/2013) conduce ritiri olistici di meditazione.
