A lone soldier undertakes a secret plot to deceive his country in Karl Braungart's riveting new thriller, Spy Determination: Book 2.
After having been drugged and hypnotized, Paul Remmich, a former army captain who still works for the army as a civilian, begins to spy for the Iraqi organization known as Tariq'Allah.
His first assignment is to verify that two conference rooms at the US Army base in Stuttgart are staged for electronic eavesdropping. He's alarmed when he hears angry voices in the hall and two unmistakable silencer pops, then finds two army CID agents lying dead in pools of blood in the men's room.
His second mission sends him to Cuba on a business trip to meet with Middle East authorities. Unbeknownst to him, his old friend, Major Eric Miller, is also in Cuba. He is hunting for soldiers who have gone AWOL. Miller and his CIA associate are shocked when they see Remmich-especially considering the fact that Remmich is supposed to be in Amsterdam. Miller returns to his duty station in Germany with an unshakeable suspicion that something is wrong.
Upon Remmich's return home he is assigned another responsibility. This time it's aimed at his friend.
Duplicity rules: Killings, compelling characters, and a backstabbing end that includes cunning retribution.
Espionage is the objective. Suspense is the plot. Determination is the theme.
