Spielen ist nicht nur bis ins hohe Alter präsent, sondern gehört auch zur kindlichen Erfahrungswelt dazu. Dass das Spiel große Bedeutung für unser ganzes Leben hat, lässt sich mit Blick auf die ersten Anfänge des Spiels erkennen. Bereits die Ägypter und Griechen verwendeten erste einfache Spielformen zum Erwerb von Kulturtechniken. Mit Beginn der Reformpädagogik rückte dann vor allem der Zusammenhang zwischen Spiel und Unterricht immer mehr in den Mittelpunkt. Durch Forschungen gelangte man zur Erkenntnis, dass Spielen auch durchaus eine Methode sein kann, mit der Kinder neue Erfahrungen machen können und mit Spaß das Lernen neuer Inhalte ermöglicht werden kann. Auf Grundlage dieser neuen Erkenntnisse entwickelten sich immer weitere Verwendungsmöglichkeiten für das Spiel im Unterricht. Insbesondere im Hinblick auf den Unterricht Deutsch als Zweitsprache erkannte man deren hohe lernfördernde Funktion bezüglich des Spracherwerbs und der Sprechförderung. Im Hinblick auf die Sprechförderung von Kindern mit Migrationshintergrund entwickelten sich eine Reihe von Sprachlernspielen und kommunikativen Lernspielen, um diesen Kindern die neue Sprache spielerisch und insbesondere kommunikativ näher zu bringen. Die folgende Arbeit soll dazu die Wichtigkeit von kommunikativen Sprachlernspielen aufzeigen. Zunächst sollen die Begriffe "Spiel" und "Sprachlernspiel" dargestellt werden. Im Anschluss daran werden Gründe für den Einsatz von Lernspielen im DaZ/ DaF- Unterricht und deren erwarteten Effekte vorgestellt. Anschließend wird im praxisbezogenen Teil auf wichtige spieldidaktische und methodische Vorüberlegungen, die sich die Lehrkr
