Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2007 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Medienpädagogik, Note: 1, Universität Wien (Institut für Bildungswissenschaften, Universität Wien), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Bei der kritischen Rezeption des Films die "Blonde Venus" (Josef von Sternberg, 1932) stellt sich die Frage, wie sich die Sprachlichkeit des Films zu den geschlechtsspezifischen gesellschaftlichen Machtverhältnissen verhält. Aus diesem Grund wurde nach einer geeigneten Methode gesucht, um zu erforschen wie sich dieses Verhältnis theoretisch darstellen lässt. Die Entscheidung fiel auf die psychoanalytisch-orientierte-feministische Filmtheorie der feministischen Filmwissenschaften, da sich diese textorientierte Methode möglicherweise als Interpretationsmethode von Filmen für den Unterricht eignen würde. Die Auswahl des Referenzfilms ergibt sich durch die differenzierte Darstellung der Frau in der Rolle Helens (Marlene Dietrich) in "Blonde Venus" (1932), im Gegensatz zu dem sonst zu dieser Zeit üblichen, durch eine patriarchale Perspektive entworfenen, stereotypisierten Frauenbild im Erzählkino. Der Fragestellung liegt die These der feministischen Filmwissenschaften zugrunde, dass Medien immer im Kontext von geschlechtsspezifischen gesellschaftlichen Macht- und Herrschaftsverhältnissen zu denken sind. Sie sind an der Weitergabe und Konstruktion gültiger Wahrheiten und Wirklichkeitskonstruktionen beteiligt. Sie produzieren und vermitteln jenes gesellschaftliche Wissen, das für eine bestimmte Zeit als allgemeingültige "Wahrheit" gilt (vgl. Dorer, 2002). Wahrheit wird nach Foucault als "Ensemble von Regeln, nach denen das Wahre vom Falschen geschieden und das Wahre mit spezifischen Machtwirkungen ausgestattet wird" gesehen (Foucault 1978, 53). Im Anschluss an Foucault, bezeichnet Dorer (2002) Medien als "Institutionen der Wahrheitsproduktion" (Dorer 2002, 54) und des "populären Wissens" (ebd.), das in einer Gesellschaft zirkuliert.
