Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2018 im Fachbereich Psychologie - Entwicklungspsychologie, Note: 1,0, Europäische Fachhochschule Brühl, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, die Unterschiede und die Gemeinsamkeiten in der Entwicklung zwischen Kindern mit und ohne dem Down-Syndrom aufzuweisen, wobei der Fokus allein auf der Sprachentwicklung liegt und die motorische oder soziale Entwicklung nicht untersucht werden. Denn die größte Schwierigkeit bei Kindern mit dem Down-Syndrom ist die Sprache. Dies gibt B. Giel (2015) in ihrem Buch der Sprachförderung bei Kindern mit dem Down-Syndrom an. Diese Lektüre ist als erste Basis dieser Arbeit für die Sprachentwicklung bei Kindern mit Down-Syndrom zu sehen. In meiner Arbeit ist für die normale Sprachentwicklung größtenteils das Buch von E. Richter "So lernen Kinder sprechen, die normale und die gestörte Sprachentwicklung" (1984) als Grundlage zu betrachten. Richter war Sprachtherapeut und viele heutige noch sehr bekannte und genutzte Sprachtherapiebücher bauen auf seine Arbeit aus den frühen Jahren auf. Richter (1984) gibt in seinem Buch bekannt, dass die Sprache das wichtigste Kommunikationsmittel der Menschen ist. Nur durch die Benutzung der Sprache können zwischenmenschliche Beziehungen aufgebaut, aufrechterhalten und gefördert werden. Es können Gefühle, Wünsche o.ä. ausgedrückt werden und die Sprache dient als Medium der Botschaften gegenüber anderen. Das Gedächtnis wird bereits vor der Geburt gebildet und ist für jede zu erlernende Fähigkeit des Kindes als Grundlage zu sehen (W. & J. Butzkamm, 2008). Alles, was wir lernen bedarf eines bereits aufgenommen und verarbeiteten Musters, sodass das neu erlernte diesem zugeordnet werden kann. Dabei muss jedes neue Muster einzeln verarbeitet und im Lernprozess verankert werden (Schirp, 2012). Es lässt sich sagen, dass das Gehirn früh darauf programmiert ist, Muster in den Sprachen zu erkennen und daraus Regeln zu bilden (Tracy, 2008). Somit ist davon auszugehen
