About the Book

Man is a rainbow, all its seven colors. This is your beauty, this is your problem. Man is multifaceted, multidimensional. It is not simple, it is infinitely complex. And from this complexity is born that harmony that we call God: divine melody. Therefore, the first thing to understand about a person is that none exists yet. It is just an opportunity, a certain potential. A person, perhaps a person, is a promise. There is a dog, there is a stone, there is a sun, a man, perhaps. Hence the anxiety and fear: not to miss the opportunity, there is no certainty. You can flower or you cannot flower. Hence the inner trembling, the trembling, the anxiety: "How do I know if I can?" Man is a bridge between the animal and the Divine. Animals are infinitely happy; of course, they do not realize their happiness, but they are infinitely happy, they are oblivious to care and neuroses. God is infinitely happy and conscious. The man is among them. Staying in anticipation, he always doubts: to be or not to be? I say that a person is a rainbow because a rainbow gives you a complete spectrum to understand a person, from the lowest to the highest. A rainbow has seven colors, a person has seven centers of his being. Seven since ancient times has an allegorical meaning. In India, this allegory took the form of seven chakras. The lowest of them is muladhara, the highest is sahasrara, and between them there are five steps, another five chakras. And a person needs to follow all these seven steps, seven steps towards the Divine. Usually we get stuck at the bottom. The first three are muladhara, svadhisthana and manipura are animal chakras. If you live only on these three chakras, then you are nothing more than an animal, and then this is a crime. It is not that you are really breaking the laws, your misconduct is that you cannot fulfill your mission, you are losing your opportunity. If the seed does not germinate and does not become a flower, it commits a crime, not against someone, against itself. And the greatest sin is sin before oneself. In fact, we sin before others only after having committed this first major sin before us. The first three chakras are associated with food, money, power, dominance, and sex. Food is the lowest of the functions of the three lower chakras, sex is the highest. This must be understood. Food is the lowest: a man obsessed with food belongs to the lowest category of animals. He just wants to survive. It has no purpose, it survives for the sake of survival. If you ask "why?" - does not have an answer. "I wish I had more land," Mulla Nasruddin once told me.- So that? Asked. "You have enough of her." "I would have more cows," he replied."And what would you do with them?" I asked. - I would sell and make money.- Good? And what would you spend them on? "I would buy more land."- So that?- Have more cows. Then a person falls into a vicious circle and remains in it forever: you eat to live, you live to eat. This is the lowest of the possibilities. The most primitive form of life is the amoeba. She just eats, that's all. The amoeba has no sexual life, it only eats what is available to it; Amoeba is a very accurate symbol of the lower person. Its only organ is the mouth: its entire body functions as a solid mouth. It constantly digests what is close to it; no matter what comes next, he will take it and digest it. Absorb with your whole body; his body is a solid mouth. The amoeba is growing and growing, getting bigger and bigger, until the moment comes when it becomes so big that it can no longer cope with its body, and then it divides in two. Now, instead of one amoeba, there are two and they start to do the same.
