About the Book

The purpose of this book is to describe how Euro-Americans achieved their "Manifest Destiny" by any means necessary at the expense of Native Americans and those of indigenous ancestry. These invaders primarily used treachery and deceit, herein. The instrument utilized was the numerous treaties, all of which were broken with the Native Americans. In addition, they used their superior guns, artillery and munitions, as well as spread diseases (smallpox), encouraged alcoholism, hypocritical assimilation, racial quotas to minimize identity, deracinated native cultures and languages, among other genocidal means to eliminate the indigent population. The book reveals the dual meaning of Thanksgiving and Columbus Day holidays. Neither historic event is as portrayed. Both led to the mass extermination of the native population that greeted them. Their lands were stolen. The book describes how this tragic legacy was established in the Europeans' quest for a "Manifest Destiny" or "Kingdom of Heaven" where they reign absolutely. In effect, Christianity, humanity and nature were violated. History became a public relations vehicle for the invaders to "whitewash" the true accounts of events that have led to the prosperity they enjoy and monopolize. A vivid, truthful and inclusive account of the unofficial and official process of removing Native Americans from their homelands is described. The "Manifest Destiny" followed by European settlers is detailed. Along with removing the native population from the land is a continuous effort to depopulate these "dark-skinned" people. Leaders in this effort, like Andrew Jackson, are examined. The motives behind his efforts to take Indian lands and lives are clarified. The linkage between the "American Dream" of wealth and prosperity resulting from using whatever means to achieve their "Manifest Destiny" is weighed against the harm inflicted on Native Americans and the environment. The "divide and conquer" strategy to further alienate Native Americans from the larger demographic of blacks, whites and Hispanics with indigenous heritage by the government is perused. The crux of the inquiry is the "blood-quorum" used to identify Indians from non-Indians. The book highlights efforts to include those of indigenous ancestry in the circle of humanity and the true majority with Native Americans. Self-improvement and healing throughout all in the circle are offered. The sins of gambling, vice, substance abuse, violence and alcoholism is weeded out as a product of the alienation fostered by the hegemonic strategy of "divide and conquer" by race, ethnicity, class, culture, etc. Holidays like Columbus Day and Thanksgiving that celebrate this strategy should be weighed in light of the truth as revealed.
