About the Book

Previously published as South and the Secret of the Osiris Ship by Matus Cejzl.
"South and the Secret of the Osiris Ship" is a thrilling and suspenseful adventure book for kids that follows the journey of a young girl named South as she uncovers the dark secrets of a mysterious ship called the Osiris.

The story begins on South's 12th birthday, as she embarks on what seems to be a dream vacation with her parents aboard the luxurious Osiris. However, things turn sinister when South's parents mysteriously disappear, leaving her alone on the ship. As South explores the vessel, she discovers that the Osiris is not what it seems and harbours a dark and terrifying secret.

South soon learns that the ship is controlled by a group of evil rulers who have been kidnapping children and sacrificing them in a twisted ritual to bring back their original ruler, known only as the "Eye." South soon captures herself and learns she was chosen as the next sacrifice.

But South is not alone in her fight against the evil forces on the ship. She meets a group of brave children who have also been kidnapped and are determined to escape and stop the ritual. Together, they form a close bond and work to uncover the secrets of the Osiris and find a way to defeat the rulers.

As South and her new friends explore the ship, they encounter terrifying creatures and obstacles, from monstrous cooks in the kitchen to living dolls made from the skin of captured children. They also learn more about the four rulers of the ship - the ruthless Right Hand, the cunning Owl, the twisted Lady Gold, and the mysterious Eye himself.

Despite the danger and horror surrounding them, South and her friends refuse to give up hope. They use their wits, courage, and newfound friendship to outsmart their enemies and slowly unravel the mysteries of the Osiris. Along the way, they make heartbreaking sacrifices and face devastating setbacks, but their determination never wavers.

As the story climaxes, South discovers she has a unique power that may be the key to defeating the Eye and freeing the captured children. In a desperate final battle, she confronts the monstrous ruler head-on, using her newfound abilities to destroy him once and for all.

But even with the Eye defeated, South and her friends soon realize that their journey is not over yet. The Osiris is still filled with unanswered questions and lingering dangers, and they must work together to find a way off the ship and back to safety.

Throughout the story, "South and the Secret of the Osiris Ship" explores themes of friendship, courage, and the power of hope in the face of overwhelming darkness. It is a tale of survival and self-discovery, as South and her friends learn to rely on each other and their inner strength to overcome seemingly impossible odds.

With its vivid world-building, suspenseful plot, and unforgettable characters, this book will captivate readers of all ages who love a good mystery and a thrilling adventure. It is a story that will stay with you long after you turn the final page, leaving you both haunted and inspired by the bravery and resilience of its young heroes.
