About the Author Kumar Satish Ravi, MBBS, MD (Anat.), MNAMS, FAIMER (M-FIILIPE), FIMSA, DLitt (HC), is currently serving as Professor (Additional), Department of Anatomy, AIIMS Rishikesh, India. He completed his graduation in Medicine from Sri Krishna Medical College & Hospital, Muzaffarpur, and postgraduation in Anatomy from JIPMER Pondicherry. He has also served as Assistant Professor and Course Director & Head, Department of Anatomy, School of Medicine, Spartan Health Sciences University, St. Lucia, North America. He was also deputed as Assistant Dean (Academics) as well as Sub Dean (Academics) at AIIMS Rishikesh. Dr Ravi is an active researcher and has published several papers in international and national journals and has authored chapters in various books. He has also presented his research work at international, national, and regional conferences, and received the Best Paper Presentation Award for his research work from the Association of Anatomists, Tamil Nadu, in PONCON 2007. He is a regular member of The American Association of Clinical Anatomists, American Association for Anatomists, and lifetime member of Anatomical Society of India, Indian Society of Human Genetics, and other such professional bodies.
