The book A Soul In The Bottle: Pain Of Domestic Violence, you are about to read is about the torments that people find in the hands of another. The title "A Soul In A Bottle" refers to how some people in abusive environment sometimes feel like they are in bottles and cannot come out. A victim finding herself in a situation where she had no income, no money to rent an accommodation, buy food and clothing. My daughter said to me "mama God is saying write a book about my soul in a bottle. Don't you see people suffer like their souls are in a bottles". Some victims suffer in marriages or in homes where relatives do not want to be put in shame. They don't want people out there to know of their shameful behaviors. The diabolical acts of incest that some families have covered for centuries. The satanic worships in some families where relatives are forced to participate or be disowned. The pain caused by loved ones can be so deep that bitterness, un-forgivenes and resentment can set it. I suffered in the hands of my mother, siblings and relatives. When my father died, my mother instructed relatives not to give me money because I was going to run away to Congo. My sister, her husband and my step-sisters all benefited from my father's death except me. My mother even stopped people who wanted to assist me with work claiming I was lazy. I was caused so much pain by my mother, siblings and relatives that I harbored un-forgiveness.
About the Author: Doreen C. Mampani is a Christian author from South Africa. She is married to Katalay Mampani and God blessed them with a daughter L'amour Mampani. She writes Christian non-fiction books and poetry. She went through rejection at home, in some churches and communities, unemployment, poverty, loss of material possession, sickness and disease and miscarriages. She suffered racism in her home and communities. Born to a Colored woman whose mother was White. She was rejected by some Vendas, Coloreds, Indians and foreign nationals. Doreen wrote some of her books while being unemployed and not owning a computer or laptop and no source of income. Some of the notebooks she found in garbage bins and also used old diaries which she asked from people to write her manuscripts. She borrowed laptops, she cleaned internet café and was given time to type her books on their computers. She also did some domestic work and recycling work to make some money. This she did in spite of being a qualified Human Resources Officer and Skills Development Facilitator. God has honored her hard work in that her books are available world-wide. Doreen suffered poverty as a child and as an adult. Her books are based on real life experience of her and people she meets. She claims not to have achieved rather she glories God for enabling her to write life changing stories. God asked Abraham "Is there anything too hard for the LORD?" The answer is the same as it was then, NOTHING is too hard for our God. Her writing career started when she lost her job, her husband's business was not doing well, and they did not have any source of income to the level of losing their material possessions. She wrote most of her books with limited resources, seating on the floor, old bed, old couch, buckets, without a proper table. She had no anti-virus software and lost some of her manuscripts and had to retype them. She did not have source of income therefore had to walk far to get to the internet café to type her books and to source funding. Sometimes she did not have deodorant therefore smelled sweat which is not a good thing most especially when you are sourcing funds and meeting with people. She walked in dangerous places and depended on God for protection.
