This book included a compendium of her works from 2010 through 2015; some repeated from previous books. She produced three colorful poetry calendars from 2015 to 2017 which enjoyed great success at community events and art shows in the Central Florida region. The calendars featured local scenery in her poems, such as "July at Lake Jessup." She performed her Autumn Rain poem from the 2015 Poetry Calendar at the Winter Springs Hometown Harvest event.
About the Author: In the past two years Joanna has achieved some success in vocal performance and recording of her original songs converted from her poems. "The Honeysuckle Moon of March" poem from her calendar project was republished as a Flamenco Bolero song featuring Dave Nachmanoff on guitar (formerly of the Al Stewart band.) In 2016 she recorded three songs with members of the Europa band; one bluegrass, one rock and one Latin samba song featuring Adam Milan on drums and John Kolbrich on the Roland accordion. She arranged and composed the music and wrote the lyrics to these songs, originally as poems. Joanna currently resides in the Altamonte Springs area near Orlando Florida. Joanna was born in Bristol, England and grew up in Loveland Ohio near Cincinnati. She graduated from Indiana University. She has worked for over a decade in the urban planning field, then seven years as a financial book keeper for a small office in Winter Park Florida, from 2005 to 2012. She was employed as a technical writer in a mechanical engineering firm in Winter Springs from 2013 to 2016. For the past two years she has made her day job as an invoicing secretary at a lumber yard in Lake County, Florida. These diverse experiences in industry and government have added insight and variety to her poetry and historical fiction stories.
