About the Book

A Son For All Seasons was not supposed to be a book, at least not at first. In September 2007, the doors to my church closed. What first appeared to be a church thriving and growing, suddenly crashed and disappeared from existence and my life. I was so lost, depressed and not sure how to recover. My spiritual brother Don was experiencing the same emotions, but had found another church before I did. I was not sure if I was ready to attend another church just yet, but I knew I needed to be in God's house and hear the word soon. He and his wife Lisa invited Margarita and I to attend one weekend, so of course we obliged. The name of this new church was "Kingdom Light" and was actually in the same exactly building that our old church started out in! It was almost like returning to the scene of the crime! God has a way of bringing us right back to the same place of hurt to make sure we learn and heal from it. The original purpose for writing this book was self-reflection and catharsis. I need answers and healing desperately. What I would encounter however, as the writing continued for several years, was this was powerful testimony and rhema word specifically for me that could help other people through sharing. If someone could read about my experiences associated with baseline scripture and personal testimony, maybe they could relate it to their own experience and achieve healing as well? I mean seriously, if someone were to take the time to fill out their own "LifeGraph," they would have their own version of this book to write! Everyone has a story to tell! My hope is that anyone who takes the time to read A Son for All Seasons will gain a fresh perspective on life and realize their on life has purpose, they are loved by God, he has great plans for you and a future! All you have to do is believe and start running toward your destiny!
About the Author: Born in September 1966 into the classic "extended nuclear family" in Oceanside, New York (Long Island). Lost his mother tragically in April, 1971 to an untreatable brain aneurysm. With his family attempting to regroup in the winter of 1971, they moved to Bellmore, New York. By the spring of 1972, his father then abandoned him, leaving his Grandmother Muriel and Great Grandmother Florence to raise him and his younger sister Maureen. Winter was in full swing! After completing 9th grade in June, 1981, the family once again moved; this time to the eastern shore of Maryland (Salisbury). Tony would complete his high school years there. Here he would make friendships that are still present to this day. Though it only lasted three years, those years would set the tone for what was to come. Spring was in the air! In January, 1985, Tony enlisted in the U. S. Army as a communications specialist. After initial training in Kentucky and Georgia, Tony would serve 20 years in the Army at additional locations including: Louisiana, Arizona, Korea, Kansas, and Washington, DC. Some significant events during that 20 year career include a near fatal car accident in 1988; his first marriage to Lori that same year; the birth of his only son Jonathan in 1990; being accepted to the National Intelligence University at the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) in 1994 and receiving his Master's Degree in 1999. A labor intensive Summer was upon him. In 2009, Tony completed his Doctorate in Leadership for Higher Education. In 2006, Tony found his way back to God, and enjoys a wonderful life with Margarita and six wonderful sons including: Nelson, Eric, William, Jonathan, Daniel and Adam. Tony and Margarita are involved in a wide variety of ministries within their church. Again it was Spring! Tony recently completed his first book "A Son for all Seasons," and is about to start work on his second effort entitled "Know Your Enemy: Preparing the Spiritual Battlefield." Tony and Margarita recently added the Christian Motorcyclists' Association (CMA) to the list where Tony now serves as the Chaplain of the San Pedro Servants. This position allows them to use powerful testimony inside the world that Tony was delivered from to people that are still lost and hurting. Tony doesn't know what the future holds, but he knows God is in control and has submitted his life to honoring God and being an ambassador of his good news to those who are still lost.
