About the Book

Welcome to the world of the Grand Duchess of the Trail! Sodapop Tales is a collection of unique stories perfect for sleepovers and a cast of kids looking for an all-out role play of characters. There is something for everyone in this book. Presenting original tales, adventures, conflicts, dilemmas and problem-solving strategies that children can relate to. Here is a quick look into Sodapop!... Revenge of the Quack is a story about how a duck negotiated his way out of being the farmer's dinner. This negotiation had a significant impact in the eating habits of humankind and revolutionized menus for generations to come... Moon Picnic is a story about why dogs bark, and more. It is a story of how haste in one's action has transformed a fact of science. We accept these truths now, because certain animals are not permitted to travel in space... Fox and Lady Crow is a love story, which met dangerous atmospheric consequences after an unsuspecting farmer changed the field location of a scarecrow... And what do you do if you meet a Sasquatch that wants to hang out? Why, you teach him the works! The fearless, blue-eyed creature of St. Charles meets curiosity and acceptance from the remarkable people of the foothills... Dreaming Patches is a series of stories about galloping with a satchel full of circus props and not dropping them. Patches is the appaloosa mule who aspire stardom in the very competitive world of the forest circus. How does he get past the perfect judges and very qualified performers?... And further in the forest is the existential world of the Grumpy Bear! When you have a hurt paw, a scary dream, or an Iguana crashing your cave, what is a Bear to do?! Who do you consult on confusing situations? How do you go against your nature to growl? Sodapop Tales is a delightful, heart-warming and defiant set of stories, as it utilizes paradoxical endings. It is an extraordinary and insubordinate approach to a bedtime story.

G Mooslin has been writing short stories, essays and poetries since homeroom time in school. She grew up riding water buff aloes, comforting cows, feeding pigs and chickens in the summer time, spending childhood both in the country and the city. She grew up surrounded by wit and discourse, discovering the joys and rewards of developing ideas. She also moved a lot, witnessing a wide variety of people and circumstance, affecting her views on human nature, social responsibility and ethics. A philosophy major, with a graduate degree unrelated to children's books, she uses her structured discipline to entertain, inform and inspire readers, as she incorporates art, history and literature in her stories. Her writing style engages humor, logic, and clever use of allegories, employing absurdity when necessary. Sodapop Tales From the Grand Duchess of the Trail is a collection of unique, funny and delightful short stories for children.

Following Sodapop Tales are works in progress, Myrtle & The Feeder Fishes: Short Stories and Other Writings, and Seesaw Brick, an animated short screenplay.
