Acercarse a este poemario es una experiencia singular; el título mismo "Transfonías" nos anuncia lo que ocurrirá en sus páginas. El prefijo Trans viene del latín y significa a través, más allá, y fonías nos conecta con el griego phoné que significa sonido, voz, capacidad de habla. De tal manera, que nos adentramos en una zona donde el poeta atravesará con agudeza la palabra, irá más allá de la voz. Y eso precisamente es lo que se siente al leer estos textos.En una definición del propio am nos señala que: "Una Transfonía es el trayecto radical que trasciende -consciente y desconsideradamente- la forma tradicional sentenciada por la élite literaria." Pretender esta suerte de transgresión iconoclasta en el lenguaje nos ubica como espectador en una zona clandestina, oblicua, donde la palabra poética es inducida al quiebre: el poeta la manosea, la estrangula, la acaricia, la apuñala, la exprime, la macera intentando sacarle el zumo de ese más allá, hurgando en significados, sabores y colores ocultos, para alcanzar regiones de asombro y silencio -silencio como entrada interdimensional, nos puntualiza en otro de sus poemas.El término interdimensional nos deja una pista sobre el desarrollo de los textos: desde su estructura arquitectónica y la ubicación en la página hasta el contenido simbólico, nos abre paso a diversas dimensiones del significado y de la vivencia emocional.En cierto sentido, el poemario se configura como un espacio de juego, advertimos en el poeta una intención lúdica, pero con la absoluta convicción del niño que juega; en otro sentido, nos conduce a observarlo en un serio desacato, una rebeldía ante la formalidad de los discursos, ya sean estos amorosos, políticos o religiosos. Siempre conserva la permanente sospecha ante las palabras, ellas tienen que ser atravesadas, desvestidas de artificio, vueltas al revés para dejar al descubierto las costuras, las vísceras, el mundo íntimo, real, la médula. El poeta busca lo que pasa por la mente de la palabra o los versos detrás de los versos /volteando los párpados del poema.Sin duda, arturo manchego se nos muestra como un poeta difícil de clasificar; tal vez hereda dentro de la lírica venezolana a grandes autores del siglo XX como José Lira Sosa o Rafael José Muñoz, comparte con ellos la hechura surrealista y la vocación transgresora radical de ambos.También nos recuerda a los poetas anglosajones de la generación beat en cuanto a esa búsqueda de lo esencial a través de la experimentación, rompiendo estructuras, burlando lo convencional y elitista en el acontecimiento poético. Sin embargo, am no parece detenerse en un territorio específico, alcanza por un lado altas notas líricas para luego pasar, casi de inmediato, a lo grotesco, lo vulgar, "las coprofonías", hasta llegar a la deconstrucción del lenguaje y la alteración del idioma propio de la subcultura caraqueña.Percibimos además reiteradas obsesiones: diosas musas- "ginecolatrías" para desembocar en lo sublime.Igualmente, el poeta aborda de manera irreverente el fenómeno religioso institucional, al mismo tiempo que nos transmite la figura de Jesús desde la originalidad de la inocencia.Nada se escapa a la capacidad fulminante de la poesía de AM. "Niega también la rigurosidad patibular contra sí misma -no se juzga ni se condena-, es un acto de fe que incluye las formaciones que pudieran provenir del inconsciente (Dios incluido)."- afirma el poeta de sus Transfonías. NI siquiera la madre como figura icónica, intocable, está a salvo de este asalto feroz de la palabra. Detrás de estos juegos irreverentes el poeta interpela al lector en sus creencias y posición ante el mundo, de tal forma que este poemario no deja a nadie en la neutralidad, por el contrario se tiene la impresión de haber entrado a través de sus páginas en un territorio mágico y contradictorio, donde se cabalga entre el delirio y la perplejidad; la belleza de lo inaudito nos at
