About the Book

★ The Snake That Ate Its Own Tail - A Short Story From Dystopity ★

In the year 3220, a ruthless multi-global holding company called the Syndicate rules the known worlds through a series of proxy corporations. On the lush green planet of Tremaine, a group of corporate mercenaries have kidnapped the lovely princess Diahsees in an attempt to finally force their king into submission, allowing the Syndicate to finish taking control over every aspect of Tremanian life in total domination of the planet.

Micah Jovich, a veteran mercenary and brilliant computer scientist and programmer takes charge of the Transition, an interstellar battleship with the help of his trusty android and protector Debian. Micah and Debian along with the help of Diahsees give it their all to deliver the final finishing blow to the Syndicate and wrestle back independent control of Tremaine's little corner of the quadrant. As if anything were ever that easy, the ruthless chief occupation officer of the Syndicate, Trilian Six, expertly captures Micah sending all their plans into a tailspin.

Debian and Diahsees are placed in a difficult situation and forced to use every single trick in the book to save Micah his creator and restore freedom to the citizens of Tremaine. The entire future of the galaxy rests in their hands as they desperately try to save Micah and restore balance to the quadrant.

About the Author

Adric Laser (born March 07, 1983) is an American novelist, critic, public speaker, essayist, and columnist. He writes in several genres but is known best for his literary contributions in the science fiction genre. His full length novel Dystopity - The One-Eyed Man (2020) and the shorts associated with the series A Rebel Was Born (2020), The Snake That Ate Its Own Tail (2020) and Redrum on Reba (2020) made the franchise a huge success.

Laser was born in San Francisco, California and grew up in Seattle Washington. Laser's works have been influenced by classic literature, popular fantasy, and science fiction; he often uses tropes from genre fiction. His background working in the entertainment industry gave him a strong character-focused approach, which many say contributed to the realism in his published works. His fiction often features characters that are highly skilled while at the same time coming from very troubled backgrounds and are forced to make difficult choices, often with odds that affect the lives of many.

Laser's experience as a teacher of English and History to secondary students in Southeast Asia gave him a profound opportunity to better understand the motivations of a more youthful generation. As such, this is why his writing is so appealing to younger generations. He has written three books on creative writing and is a prominent member of the Furry Writers Guild, a group dedicated to promoting quality writing in anthropomorphic fiction and informing, elevating and supporting its creators.
