About the Book

Do not fall for the hype! People are starting to get a little bit crazy with this Intermittent fasting fad. Intermittent fasting is not a cure for anything. So many people are desperately seeking a quick fix for something that took them years to destroy. Which is their own bodies with the wrong types of foods. We are are what we eat not when we eat. Let's be honest here, most people who "diet" have no clue what they are doing. The reasons behind their attempts at any type of specific diet are to be admired and applauded. But all to often they once again revert back to their instincts (which are wrong) and turn what may be a decent plan into yet another starvation diet. Uninformed people are using Intermittent fasting as a way to justify to themselves that it is perfectly ok to starve one's self. This is not healthy, and it is not sustainable. Optimum health should trump everything else. We live in a world were we are fixated on aesthetics. And I get it, I am too. We are human and we all want to look good. But like a great man once said: "Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder" Or something similar to that. My mom used to tell me that everyone is someone's ugly. Which is so true. That was her way of saying don't get cocky or ever act like you are God's gift because your not! My intention's of this book are to neither praise nor bash the Intermittent fasting pattern of eating. My intention's are always to help people step waaaaaaay back, like about 500 steps back! There is a big picture here and we are looking at it through a little frame. Come join us in common senseville. The town is desolate and we can sure use some good people to join us. We are all equal here. Gurus go destroy another town. Here is an excerpt from the book. 3 - 2 - 1 3 - 2 - 1 is another good solid base for people who are trying to find what works for them to start from. Why? Because it is so simple to understand and many people actually enjoy following this type eating pattern. 3 - Carbohydrate grams. 2 - Protein grams. 1 - Fat gram. It is that simple. For every 3 grams of carbohydrates, you will eat 2 grams of protein, and 1 gram of fat. Now as far as figuring out how many total calories to eat there are different methods that people will utilize for that. Here is another bodybuilding kind of way of figuring out ones total calories. I don't personally follow this anymore but I have in the past when I was a gym rat kid. You basically take your body weight and that is your grams of protein that you will be consuming in the day. Then you just fill in the carbohydrates and fat accordingly. So here is how it basically looks for a 200 lb. and 150 lb. person. 200 lb. person: 300 g. carbohydrates X 4 calories a gram = 1,200 calories. 200 g. protein X 4 calories a gram = 800 calories. 100 g fat X 9 calories a gram = 900 calories. A total of 2,900 calories are consumed. 150 lb. person: 225 g carbohydrates X 4 calories a gram = 900 calories. 150 g protein X 4 calories a gram = 600 calories. 75 g fat X 9 calories a gram = 675 calories. A total of 2,175 calories are consumed. Many people have success utilizing the 3 - 2 - 1 method as it allows them to eat things that are not quite on the nutritious side and be able to somewhat curb their bad eating habits. I think that this is definitely a good starter for those who desperately need to get on the right track. This gets your feet wet and gives you a platform to stand on when it comes to ultimately not having to argue with your inner self when trying to make the correct food choices. I would recommend leaning a bit towards 4 carbs. 1.5 - 2 protein & .5 fat. But this doesn't sound as cool right? 4 - 1.5 - 2 - .5 This one is another bodybuilding method...
