About the Book

This 2 volume set will keep you glued page after page as Dr. Randy Short so eloquently connects the common thread of dissension among religious leaders and uppity blacks dating back to the 1800s to William Henry Sheppard. Sheppard was a pioneering leader of his day who effectively fought for religious freedom and social justice worldwide for blacks.
What we learn is the strategies used then by Whites to oppress, demonize, and pillage black communities are the same strategies in operation today.

Well-to-do blacks then were the key source of contention and blockers that stood in the way of lesser-educated Negroes and many times sided with whites to keep blacks marginalized. Though it was from the pulpit and sacred halls that echoed the damnable doctrine of indifference and inferiority in the name of God. Religion then, as now, is one of the strongest tools to gather people, yet it is also the tool most often used to keep races divided. Some say much hasn't changed.
This edition should adorn the shelves of every person seeking answers to old race questions; How did we get here? And what is this about?
2 volumes in 1 book.
