About the Author: The Author is a practising Barrister (Advocate) in England and Wales having conducted mainly Criminal cases for over 30 years. He is a Queen's Counsel (a "Silk") and although the Silk Brief is a work of fiction, he has drawn extensively from his knowledge of trials and the procedure in the Criminal Courts in England and Wales, including the "Old Bailey".
