About the Author: Selma Stroebel was born and raised in western Alberta, Canada. She spent her childhood helping out on her family's ranch. Unfortunately, family circumstances stopped her from living at home full-time. Instead, she lived with many different families to get her education and later went to a private boarding school.
Stroebel and her husband moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, her husband's hometown. Later they self-built their home in Wisconsin Dells. She studied interior design at Madison Area Technical College and became a freelance designer. Stroebel and her husband now spend their summers in Wisconsin and winters near Palm Springs, California. They enjoy camping, riding ATVs, and spending time with their children and five grandchildren.
