IT'S EASY! HERE'S HOW IT WORKS...
After you declare yourself the author and dedicate your book to someone special, it's time to get creative.
Each page on the left shows Sidney at some stage of his adventure. Look through ALL the pictures before you start. It will help you get organized and give you lots of fun ideas for your story.
Now it's time to write! Just let your imagination take Sidney on his super fantastic adventure.
Your readers, of course, will want to know all about you, so be sure to fill in the details on the "About the Author" page.
ALTERNATIVE IDEAS
(1) Make it a CONTEST game! Each person pulls a picture "label" from a hat (e.g. taxi, dumpster, park, etc.) and then writes the wildest, craziest, funniest story to match that picture. Have someone read the finished book aloud, but be sure no one knows who wrote each story. Now it's time to vote! (Of course, you're NOT allowed to vote for your own story.) Count up the points, discover the winner, and congratulate him or her on a job well done!
(2) Make it a FAMILY or GROUP game! Each person is assigned one or more pages of Sidney's journey. With all the unique creative writing styles, the finished book is extra hilarious!
(3) Co-write each page of Sidney's adventure with a sibling or good friend. It's a great creative writing exercise and lots of FUN!
