Daisy Bishop has a strong need for routine. She knows Lucy Desalls' annoying mutt Rufus will wake her early every morning. She listens to Jack Powrie, Brett Mayes and Megan Riley as they chat before heading off to work. Claire Cutler cooks on the weekends and brings dishes of food for Daisy.
The reason Daisy knows all of this is because she's a shut-in.
The trauma of being abandon by their parents at an early age leaves Daisy and her brother Chuck struggling throughout their childhood.
After Chuck moves on to lead a successful life, Daisy falls to pieces and becomes ill. Now, she never leaves her apartment in the suburbs of Pittsburgh. But all this is about to change when a new woman, Shelly, moves into Daisy's complex.
Shelly wants to help heal Daisy.
Daisy wants nothing to do with Shelly until the day Daisy's computer breaks down. Shelly offers Daisy her laptop and tells Daisy to write ideas, dreams and wishes. She does. And one by one, they start coming true... What else could she change? Would there be any consequences?
This is a magical story of loss, illness, world events and acceptance.
