About the Book

Please contact me directly at "buddyvaiden@gmail.com", for a specific book title recommendation, that deals with a present, and pressing situation. "Short Circuit" is the first book, to the best of my knowledge, by a bi-polar mentally ill person, who is on the "patient" side of the fence. It is a summation, exploration, and examination. A self-examination of 60 years of multiple brain chemical imbalances, as they act out visually, or not. Using accurate scales to weigh my personal experience of living, your definition, with extensive research of what mental health consumers, and providers, have written on how to cope. Don't bother searching for definitions, and "observed behaviors", any more. When you have been diagnosed with an "incurable" illness, you do the homework. You will arrive at the same dead end. That the professionals in psychiatry, psychology, and social humanities, keep to their almost "Coptic" conclusion. That whatever is going on, it is not known for sure how mental illness works. That the medicines prescribed to inhibit symptoms, it is not known exactly how they work. therefore, those who are diagnosed with mental illness, it is not known for sure how they work, or their lack of it. I found nothing more than professional opinions, on this, on that. After many years of suffering, and research, I came to realize that there is more of what is not known about Bi-Polar, PTSD, Multiple Personality Disorder, ad infinitum, than is. I can now write the definitive book on this subject, because I am now a professional mental health consumer. It is 2010, and I am starting the basic introduction, and applicable answers to the "professional" answers that bite the "big one". Ever find yourself in a psych's office, and he says "how do you feel?" At first, I felt like a horse's ass. No matter how hard I tried, I could not put my response in words. One reason! I had questions that needed to be answered, so I could then know how I felt. My situation, being asked questions, when I needed answers, is the nature of "therapy". So I have plowed many questions into this book, than answers. I am able to do that, because one answer covers several questions! So, how this works? You will read a typical review of a mental health episode. I wrote them down for you because I had the capability of knowing, and recording in my mind, how it started, how it spiraled out of control, and how I could recognize when it was slipping away. One, or two episodes, may be shared at the same time, as they do have certain connective behaviors. Then I give you the answer to not just coping, but beating the living hell out of it, while it is doing the same to you. These types of doctors can look at me with a straight face, tell me to take three new prescriptions, when my condition has not changed one way or the other, our fifteen minutes are up, and that will be $150.00, that was it! In 2000, I decided I was going to get my own life back. I started drawing, and painting. In 2006, I started writing my "Touched" series books. I developed a sense of humor, an IQ that is through the roof, and not one more minute allowed, for me to think that I have no worth! Now it's your turn to have your say. Why? "Final Quote", and memorize it. This book is your shield of your own worth, and no doctor has been able to give it a negative critique. When doctor's cannot say this, they say do not do this, as the practices that are mentioned, have not yet been proven. I have written eleven books, and completed over one hundred and thirty five paintings. I am an internationally published author. I am an oil on canvass artist, who has already been exhibited in three states, at six different galleries. I have started a new specialty greeting card business. My web site is "buddyvaiden.com". A work in process. How much more proof do you want, that what you read in this book, works?
