About the Book
Fairfield is the code name of a Russian scientist whose mission was to study the military applications of paranormal phenomena. Accused of treason, he is imprisoned at the Goulag, then released after the fall of the Soviet Union. In July 1997 he is kidnapped in Chicago, during a symposium on neurology, since Uncle Sam is now interested by his story. What is psychic manipulation? And what should we think about paranormal phenomena? But the narrator also makes another inquiry, concerning the austral continent and the sailing ship "Fairfield" which brings a cargo of British colonial settlers to South Australia in 1840, via the cold southern oceans.
About the Author: Richard-Warren Strong, born in Melbourne in 1943, is an Australian author who lives in France and writes in both English and French. Since 2002 he has published a series of books including novels, essays, short stories and poetry.
