About the Book
Women hold a special place in God's heart. When Jesus was on earth he ministered to women to restore them back to the place that God originally planned for them to be, right by his side and in His presence, with joy, praise and beauty, just like Eve was in the Garden. What does it mean to be called Woman? "And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man." Gen 2:23. What does it mean to be a woman? She is a wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, niece, bride, friend, helper, grandmother etc...I did this study because women need to be encouraged. We do so much for everybody. We celebrate others, but how many are given to us? We listen to and encourage others, but how many times are we listened to and encouraged? We sacrifice, work hard even when we don't feel well or are tired, and endure so many hardships, but who sacrifices for us? The answer is Jesus! This book was written in appreciation for all that God has done for me as a child, woman, wife, daughter, mother and widow. In sickness, pain, discouragement, fear, hopelessness, lack, loneliness and all the other things life can bring our way. A lot of the bible stories about women are our own testimonies. Sometimes we wonder why our lives are so crazy. The bible says so that we can comfort others. I want to give the women in the scriptures a voice, put their thoughts into words, the very words we speak ourselves when we find ourselves in their shoes. They will make you laugh, cry, get angry, and meditate as you reflect on their stories and see yourself or someone you know. To God be the Glory!!!!! Let's start with the mother of all mankind, Eve....
