About the Author: Maria Teresa H. de Holcomb is a Mexican playwright and author who has earned advanced degrees from colleges in Mexico and the United States. For twenty-six years, she taught Spanish and Spanish literature at the college level, publishing three textbooks along the way.
Inspired by a course on immigration she took at Yale University, de Holcomb became passionate about encouraging women, especially immigrants, to pursue the lives they desire. This resulted in her first collection of short plays, highlighting the plight of migrant women.
