About the Book

What would you do if you woke up and decided to look out at the dawning morning only to see yourself still lying in bed? What would you do if your 21st birthday was the last time you would ever age? What would you do if you were being chased by the NSA? How would you feel if you were hunted by a creature that could take any form it wished? That is Michael's life. From the time he was fifteen he knew he was much different from everyone else. He had his own successful technology company and was at school at MIT. This is as far back as he can remember any true memory. He had always known things, whether it was about people or just events, and went with his feelings about whatever split in the road was set in front of him. Staring out the window of his bedroom, he turned around to find he was still in bed. Was it a dream? Before he could try to figure out what was going on, the government was trying to catch him. It seemed as though the government knew about his new abilities before he did. Running from the NSA and trying to figure out how to control his new powers, he runs into something very evil that wants nothing less than to kill him. His new enemy can take on any form he wants at any time. Choosing the lesser of two evils, he lets the government capture him and put him into a small room where they can watch him. Michael uses the time to learn everything there is to know about his new powers and how to control them. Using his power to split himself in two, he spends his time trying to find out one other mystery. How did the government know about him before he did? Learning to split his body, trying to find his purpose in life, searching for the woman he lost and trying not to get killed, Michael comes to find out one truth to his reality. The only thing he has to fear in this word is himself.
About the Author: Grant D. Koeneke grew up in the Portland, OR. During high school he had aptitude for the arts and specifically toward writing. His senior year he talked to Stephen King about what it would take to be an author which left an impression he would never forget. College didn't fit him well and he pursued his career in computers where he learned at 18 to design database systems. Moving from company to company searching for something that fit him and for something he enjoyed, he eventually moved up the ranks into an executive position. Grant never quite found what he was looking for in the world of computers and constantly stuck to his artistic side. Spending his personal time with painting and writing as an outlet, he wrote two screenplays, several poems and painted many paintings. Finally, he went back to what made him happy. While trying to decide what he wanted to do and what made him most happy he started to write novels. With several ideas written down he decided to go back to the one idea he had in high school that he always associated to a conversation he had with Stephen King. Call it an itch that needed to be scratched. Developing the idea in a more modern world and now with a more comprehensive background he wrote his first novel, Transcendence, in 3 weeks. It was only the first book in a series, but it was something he felt great accomplishment in doing. Transcendence started it all, but The Seven Saga was always the goal. He never imagined he could actually write one novel let alone seven, but the books wrote themselves. Getting lost in the world he creates when he writes, he becomes oblivious to the world around him. Sometimes this can be problematic for his roommate and friends. Currently, Grant lives in Southern California and lives in the same house that Jordan Belfort lived in when he wrote his novel 'The Wolf of Wallstreet'. Coincidence? Maybe or maybe not. Now Grant spends his days trying to decide which idea to put down on paper next. Currently, Grant lives in Southern California with his wife Nicole, his muse.
