Welcome to the 2nd Edition of the Seven Professional Nations book. This book on the seven professional nations seeks to bring the church into a scripturally backed understanding of the seven professional nations/mountains/gates/spheres/worlds of calling in the market place, and into God's strategy in using the professional worlds as the major gateways towards establishing His Kingdom over the geographical nations of the earth. The seven main categories of professional nations include: Government and Military; Industry, Commerce, and Finance; Arts, Media, and Entertainment; Science, Technology, and Education; Family; Sports; and the Life-Givers (Religion and Health-Care).
The great commission given to the Church in Matthew 28:18-20 is a command given to every believer in Christ Jesus. It is not a charge given only to the Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers (Ephesians 4:11), but rather to all those who make up the Body of Christ in the earth. Every believer has a part to play in bringing the influence of God's Kingdom and will over the nations (Matthew 6:10). In order for this to become a reality, the Church must come to know and embrace this Kingdom strategy that God concealed from the beginning (Proverbs 25:2).
The professional nations are the believer's pulpit through which he/she carries out his/her unique God given purpose, which ultimately works towards impacting, transforming, and reconcile the nations to God. Every believer in Christ is therefore a king sent out as a Kingdom missionary, on a Kingdom mission, through one or more of these professional nations, so as to ultimately (in the fullness of time) bring the nations under the influence and dominion of God.
This 2nd Edition of the Seven Professional Nations book is a revised edition that has upgraded some of the content in the first Edition. This includes an upgrade on the subject of politics as seen under the section on the professional world of Government and Military.
The short version is a summarised version of the full version of the same book. While it excludes some in-depth chapters from the full version, it still communicates to the reader the basic concept of the Seven Professional Nations strategy in reconciling the nations to God.
