About the Book

Mankind struggled for well over 5000 years, with only the power of the wind in ship's sails, and individual beasts on land. Why was man able to go from the horse and buggy, to landing on the moon, in less than 70 years? We praise, and honor our geniuses like Einstein, Tesla, and Da Vinci, even though we think of them as anomalies of the human race. Were they abnormal, or is it possible that they were the true norm that is the birthright of man? If that were true, could mankind survive suddenly receiving his birthright? The year is 2026, and the world has drastically changed since the new millennium began. The United States has been split by a second Civil War. In repayment for the trillions of dollars owed them, China has seized Hawaii and the west coast of the United States. Great Britain has been consumed by a flood of Islamists. Iran is a historical footnote, after they attempted to bomb Israel with nukes. Israel retaliated in kind and Iran ceased to exist. Rebels run rampant in nearly every country in the world. The world is in turmoil, and a Smithsonian archeologist finds a secret that could explain why. Cody Frost is an archeologist investigating an anomaly he found after his father's death. The investigation leads him to South America, where a secret is revealed that had been buried for over 2000 years, and resonates from the Man's first moments self realization. A secret society would destroy the world to conceal the hidden knowledge. A different secret society pledged to free the hidden knowledge. Cody Frost is the prophesied leader they were promised many millennia ago. The society helping Cody wasn't strong enough to save Atlantis in the dawn of time. They weren't strong enough to save the Libraries of Alexandria 2000 years ago. How can they succeed against an organization that controls governments and religions? Despite the odds, Cody and his team race to find the secret, and to break the shackles placed on Man with his first conscious thought.
About the Author: I retired from the Marine Corps in 1987 after 21 years of meeting interesting people and seeing exotic places. The Marines taught me to never give up, always look for the humor in situations, and to live your life so you can hold your head up in pride. I hope to communicate those traits in my writing. I learned to enjoy achievement and to take pride in achievement. Writing is almost as much fun as fishing and can provide the same sense of accomplishment, and more if the fish don't bite. I guess I'm lucky I live in Texas because the fish always bite in Texas. I try to include some humor in my stories because life is humorous. Readers may feel my stories have a conservative tilt. That's because many of my views are very conservative. Enjoy my stories and let me know what you think of them, good or bad. Thank you for reading.
